About the Role
The HR Consultant is a resilient and well rounded generalist who can operate on a strategic and tactical level. They will also act as a business partner in support to clients who need fractional assistance to their HR challenges. The HR Consultant will support a variety of HR projects, research, and ad-hoc advisory services.
The ideal candidate is inspired by the opportunity to apply their knowledge and skills to various HR projects and ad-hoc requests across a broad range of clients and industries. The HR Consultant has strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities within tight deadlines, as well as the ability to establish priorities, define action plans, and monitor and communicate their progress.
Work From Anywhere Opportunities:
As the HR Consultant, you are comfortable performing duties independently based on broad general direction. This role is primarily remote, however, may work on a client site on an as needed basis depending on client needs. We do our best to assign clients located close to the HR Consultant for convenience. This is currently a casual or part-time position with the potential of full-time hours. This is most suitable for those who like autonomy and have a flexible schedule.
Skills & Knowledge
• Possess practical knowledge and experience implementing the following: Policy & Compliance, Recruitment & Selection, Employee Relations, Training & Development, Performance Management
• Exceptional writing skills with the ability to create complex documents with significant attention to detail
Ability to understand the unique operating environment of small and medium business cultures across various industries and provide practical HR solutions
Attending virtual meetings with the client’s executives and employees
Acting as the lead relationship manager between Fenix and our client’s C-Suite
Analyzing the client’s current HR programs and designing the HR roadmap for clients, based on their engagement specifics
Ability to manage their schedule and be responsive to client needs as they arise
Flexibility and creativity to handle any situations that arise while implementing solutions for the client
Organized and efficient with client approach to solving their problems and implementing solutions
Self-motivation and self-discipline to complete work in a timely manner with minimal oversight
Exceptional listening, verbal and written communication skills
Proven record of professionalism, confidentiality, and integrity
Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of the HR discipline effectively
Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in human resources management, or equivalent, plus CHRP or CHRL designation.
• 7+ years direct experience in human resources
• Up-to-date knowledge of policy and legal compliance, including Human Rights legislation, ESA, MOL, OH&S and WSIB standards across multiple jurisdictions and industries
• Strong computer skills: MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint), Google (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
