• About the Opportunity:

The Temporary Human Resources Coordinator role provides essential administrative support during a transitional period. This position ensures accurate execution of employee lifecycle processes and serves as a primary contact for HR inquiries, contributing to the smooth operation of HR functions and compliance within the institution.

• Responsibilities:

• Manage shared HR inboxes, phones, and respond to employee inquiries
• Execute onboarding, job changes, and offboarding transactions
• Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS
• Process and track HR documentation to meet compliance and recordkeeping standards
• Coordinate onboarding logistics including paperwork, system access, and orientation
• Facilitate I-9 verification, background checks, and other pre-employment procedures
• Collaborate with Payroll and Talent Acquisition for timely employee data processing
• Assist with reporting, audits, and documentation for compliance
• Support HR communications and administrative tasks within the department
• Identify and escalate process issues; contribute to documentation and improvements

• Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 1 to 3+ years of administrative or HR coordination experience
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting
• Discretion in managing confidential information
• Effective communication and customer service skills
• Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, Banner, or PeopleSoft

Preferred

• Experience in higher education or similar structured organizations
• Knowledge of HR operations and compliance processes
• Experience in onboarding and employee record management
• Exposure to audit support or process documentation

• Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Hourly pay range is $18.00 to $24.00, determined based on qualifications and experience
