About the position

The City and County of San Francisco is looking to bring on board multiple Human Resources Analysts to help departments in hiring, supporting, and retaining a highly qualified workforce to deliver essential public services to the people of San Francisco. Responsibilities
• Assist with hiring, developing, and supporting the City’s workforce.

• Work in various human resources functional areas including recruitment and examinations, classification and compensation, employee and/or labor relations, benefits administration, human resources operations, diversity, equity, and inclusion, or personnel training.
,
• Prepare candidate friendly job advertisements, process job applications, and construct, administer, and score examinations.
,
• Conduct investigations and surveys concerning the duties, responsibilities, qualifications, and salaries of City jobs.
,
• Negotiate resolutions to grievances, investigate complaints of serious employee misconduct, and confer with employees, department leadership, and labor representatives.
,
• Manage the City’s employee benefits program, including health insurance, retirement accounts, vacations, paid time off, and parental leave.
,
• Process new hires through interviews and onboarding activities, facilitate employee transfers, and administer fair and consistent employee discipline.
,
• Develop employee resources and training, lead diversity recruitment efforts, and create and monitor DEI benchmarks.
,
• Lead training about supervision and leadership, conduct team building workshops, and consult with managers on training and organizational development projects.

Requirements
• Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
,
• Verifiable professional human resources work experience in one or more relevant areas may substitute for up to two years of the required education on a year-for-year basis.
