Human Resources Specialist – Engagement & Recognition (Volunteer)

Job Summary
The Human Resources Specialist – Engagement & Recognition supports the execution of recognition initiatives and campaigns designed to promote volunteer engagement across the Peace360 Initiative. This is a part-time, unpaid, virtual volunteer position. Our programs aim to promote and educate on mental health awareness, healthy living, social justice, and racial reconciliation.

Responsibilities
• Assist in implementing volunteer recognition and reward initiatives for the Peace360 Initiative.
• Support the coordination of recognition activities and incentive-based programs.
• Collaborate with other departments to help execute broader volunteer recognition efforts.
• Gather volunteer feedback and help translate insights into recommendations that enhance engagement programs.
• Research and share best practices related to volunteer motivation, reward structures, and engagement trends.
• Provide support on special projects and strategic recommendations related to long-term engagement opportunities.
• Work effectively with other volunteers, departmental staff, and organizational leaders to ensure consistency across programs.

Requirements & Skills
• Experience supporting or participating in recognition or engagement programs (preferred).
• Understanding of incentive structures, recognition activities, or reward systems is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse groups.
• Solid organizational and project coordination abilities with attention to detail.
• Proactive mindset and willingness to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with shifting priorities.
• Strong team player with a passion for promoting engagement and motivation.
