Salary: $80,000-$83,000 (depending on experience)
Open to candidates residing in Sacramento, CA and surrounding areas.
Up to 10% travel required as needed.
Position Details:
The People Operations Partner serves as a strategic advisor to leadership, aligning HR initiatives with business objectives to drive organizational effectiveness, employee engagement, and compliance. This role partners closely with managers and teams to support talent development, navigate change, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Work From Anywhere Opportunities:
The People Operations Partner will:
• Partner with leadership to provide strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and team effectiveness
• Lead change management initiatives, including reorganizations and workforce transitions, while supporting employee engagement and minimizing disruption
• Advise and coach managers on employee relations matters, including performance management, progressive discipline, and conflict resolution
• Support and guide the development and delivery of performance improvement plans (PIP’s)
• Identify trends in employee relations data to inform talent strategies, retention efforts, and proactive interventions
• Ensure compliance with company policies and employment regulations, including support during investigations and organizational changes (e.g., WARN)
• Collaborate with leaders to assess training and development needs and reinforce learning within teams
• Support effective communication strategies that strengthen transparency, trust, and team alignment
• Partner in labor relations activities, including contract interpretation and participation in labor-management discussions
• Monitor team dynamics and organizational health, providing insights and recommendations to improve morale and performance

Requirements:
• Bachelors in Human Resources or Business required, Masters in Human Resources or Business preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years in Strategic HR or Business Partner role or 5 years of relevant generalist experience
• Ability to deal with difficult subjects and have hard conversations.
• Must have experience working in California, working knowledge of employment law at the federal level with the ability to interpret updates and changes at the federal, state, and local levels required.
• Valid driver’s license, the ability to travel, including overnight and out-of-state
• SHRM/HRCI certificate preferred.
